As mentioned by @Peter Lewis in the #C08D46QF7T3 channel, Amazon Connect, Amazon WorkSpaces, and Amazon AppStream 2.0 are now Chrome Enterprise Recommended. For anyone attending Enterprise Connect in a little over a week, I'll be demoing this functionality at our booth.

While it's certainly not the majority of non-persistent desktop use-cases, with the excitement around generative AI I'm noticing a trend with short term use of graphics instances and Linux. Sometimes you need to grant them the ability to issue sudo commands so the users can install LLMs, for example. Let me know if this helps anyone out there, and if so what other deep dives you'd like us to cover.

We are seeing an issue on Workspaces Pools with *certificate-based Authentication (*CBA) enabled that published Citrix XenApp apps to the Start Menu of the Workspaces Pools desktop launch but get a message "The user name or password is incorrect. Try again". If I turn off CBA, and log in to the desktop with AD credentials it works ok. I found an Citrix article https://support.citrix.com/s/article/CTX289690-unable-to-start-session-in-double-hop-environment?language=en_US that has a similar issue that mentions FAS, we don't have FAS deployed in our Citrix envionment. Is it required to get it to work? Wasn't sure whether anyone else has encountered this?

I expect that it will even go lower when we get FSLogix setup.

🚀 Omnissa Horizon Cloud on Amazon WorkSpaces Core 🚀 If you were looking for a more cloud-native way to deploy Horizon desktops and applications, Omnissa just released support for Horizon Cloud on AWS with Amazon WorkSpace Core support. We are still working through the release to make sure it meets a high bar of quality, and when we're confident we'll share a release article as well with steps for getting started.

Our ChromeOS scrolling issue in Workspaces Pools Web is now resolved which is good news! Is there a web page that shows release notes for Workspaces Web?

Could we redirect Known Folders, like My Documents, Desktop and Downloads to Home Folder on Workspaces Pools https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/persistent-storage.html or is it not recommended? We want our users mainly to use Google Drive for Desktop for their file storage.

A consistent requirement from customers is to privatize streaming traffic to their desktops, particularly customers coming from on-premises VDI environments where they had complete control over their gateways as they managed them. We just launched the first step to align with this requirement with support for AWS PrivateLink on Friday, and here's how to set it up. Today it's personal, persistent desktops, and soon to come will be pooled, non-persistent desktops which requires a backend change to our streaming endpoints. Stay tuned...

With Workspaces Core, at which point do I get my image to be fully configured? I took a base win11 with the VDA, copied to S3, and imported to EC2 as an AMI so it can be used in workspaces. Do I create an EC2 instance and get it to be my "gold" image and then use that for workspaces? Or do I create a workspace deployment and load off of that? There have been so many changes and feature adds, the documentation doesn't seem to be able to keep up. Also, does workspaces/citrix join the machine to the domain when it provisions machines? I would think I need to have the machine domain joined if I want to use CM to load apps I want on the image and to ensure users can install more. Anyone have any good blogs on workspaces core (Citrix)?

I'm trying to setup some EC2 Windows 11 App-V / MSIX Sequencing boxes. If you import the Win11 23H2ISO via EC2 ImageBuilder to create an AMI. Then Launch an Instance. How do you Enable RDP to it? Do you have to run EC2Rescue to enable RDP?

In Workspaces Pools it would be nice to see what 'source image' you are using in a bundle, in an always on from the session somehow. As it takes a while for them to update when the bundle changes.

Any Citrix Core Managed Instances users or experts in here? Trying to create a host connection with proxy config via posh and the documentation isnt working. The new-item doesnt appear to support the -connectiontype item
