Having a tough time with WEM since VDA 2507, specifically with user profiles. UPM does not launch. I created group policy to enable WEM in cloud mode since "for reasons" the VDA now includes a gimped and out of date version you can't not install, and WEM will launch, but no profiles. Updated WEM to latest release 2508.1 and still nothing. Maybe one time out of 10 the VDI will open and the user profile will be there, but i'm looking for every time. Roll back to VDA 2402 and ALL my issues go away. I want to move forward, but the other super annoying thing is WEM does not create any logs for UPM. The Log parser has nothing, the Actions Viewer has nothing, as it does not list UPM actions. Not a single thing to point me in the right direction. UPM does not even log anything.

I was having issues with the new WEM as well. I found getting the Maintenance Machine for the catalog onboarded it helped. For the UPM, you can enable logging, but it requires the agent running to get the logging settings locally.

IT looks like WEM 2508, 2507 are not fully populating the policy settings for UPM on login. I'm seeing a lot of the registry entries under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Citrix\UserProfileManager missing, unless i force a refresh of the agent's profile management settings.

Do you have your maintenance machine onboarded to WEM? Do you see those settings on that image before you seal it? WEM even when you set it to not run from local cache, still really likes to run from the cache instead of pulling data fresh. So I always make sure my maintenance machine has checked in and has those settings before deployment. And part of the seal script I use the agentcacheutility with -r -S -I

The master image is not onboarded. Been using WEM since it was first acquired and had to be self installed, never had to onboard the master. The only part that is broken for me is the profile management part so not sure what changed.

I agree, you shouldn't have to do it. I think there is some order of operation that is different.

Right now i'm just going to recreate the profile management part in a DaaS policy as i've been head-butting a wall for over a week and need to move on. I know that opening a support ticker for this will take more weeks, that i don't have.
