Has anyone done any testing or seen any reports on W11 non-persistent vs Server 2025 TS in regard to impacts on scalability and experience? (Coming from a 2019 TS OS.)

Based on my KB, server OS is still more optimized than W11 AND longer support 4 years vs 2 years!

Can confirm. More user density with 2025 over Win 11 Multi-session. Still testing the new 2507 vda to see how density is in 2025 vs 2022.

Thanks guys! We're trying to weigh things out in that regard... I figured Server 25 would be more capable in regards to density, just curious what that gap is! It feels like 2008R2 vs W7 was like the golden age and it was exponentially more. With each version of server OS, it feels like we're getting less and less dense on the same hardware, just curious at what point the trade-off isn't worth it anymore.

Yep server OS multisession definitely more dense than desktop OS multisession

In the 2507 LTSR release blog, Citrix claim 7% lower CPU and 17% lower memory - but it doesn't say on what OS, or what it's comparing that reduction to.

I can confirm around 7% different as well using Win11 multi-session. May not be apples to apples what you're looking for @keislij but we've done a good bit of testing . Here's a link to one of my test reports. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12sllO-zqkaTQfdVUuGAGZd4-YXQT8dIJ/view?usp=sharing

I was able to bring my desktop images down to 4 gb, and they perform like previous builds with 6gb of ram. I notice no difference between 6 and 8 gb desktop win 11 images. And these include vgpu that require more ram as well.
