I’m hitting the virtual memory limit of my website, according to my hoster. This also creates random errors while browsing the blog. Looking for alternatives now, but still enjoying the outsourcing situation. Where are you hosting your websites? Even thinking of using the MSFT-sponsored Azure credits, but on the other hand, also not really. Should be separated IMO.

Static generators and GitHub Pages or similar. Cost $0 and no performance issues

You can still break stuff but recovering is easier

I second that, best move I made was getting across to the model above

I moved my wordpress to my azure credits. But I might look into the github route.

I'm using Wordpress and Elementor, good friend is helping me and get's free engineering stuff in exchange. The static generator route sounds promising.

I am using Wordpress on a AWS Lightsail instance. I too have thought of moving to the GitHub Pages especially since most if not all of my content is now on the company website.

I use Azure Static Web page, push from Github, its free, sure it have a limit, depends how much you traffic you have, next level is 9USD per month. Used bolt.new to make new home page with AI. I think wordpress and elementor and all that have way to bloated now days, so much things to update, and plugin that breaks etc.
