03/31/2025, 3:45 PMAre RSAT only supported in the OS layer with the newer Elm? Asking since not able to build a layer, always get "Something didn't go as planned" on restart of the layer after installing, but adding RSAT to the OS layer works without a problem.

04/01/2025, 2:57 PM@Paul Brown I tested using 23H2 and it did work for me. I noticed though that it uses windows update to install the RSAT tools and it takes a really long time for them to install. So I would make sure you have enabled the windows update service before doing the install (though having automatic updates disabled in a gpo). I also noticed both in my app layered published image and even on my physical desktop that the RSAT tools do not show up in the start menu. They do show up in a search when looking for apps. I, not sure what's up with that but doesnt seem like an app layering issue.

04/01/2025, 3:37 PMThanks for testing. I couldn't get it to work for me so put them in the OS layer. It does take a stupidly long time to install but thats a MS thing... 🙄
