Trying to do a client drive mapping to a sub folder via a WEM policy. Client drive mapping is allowed. We find that we can map to \\client\c$ but as soon as we try something like \\client\c$\folder it will fail. We have tried originally via WEM but even just via Net use we get error "System error 87". Client drive mapping is allowed and it works as long as its only C$ but that's not what we want to do. I found the following links https://community.citrix.com/topic/236076-networkmapping-clientcusername-will-not-work/ https://community.citrix.com/topic/247035-cant-map-local-shared-folder-through-cdm/ but not getting much success. We tried the registry key in https://support.citrix.com/s/article/CTX127968-how-to-enable-legacy-client-drive-mapping-format-on-xenapp?language=en_US but it didn't work (although we didn't attempt with a reboot as it's a non-persistent image). Any help is appreciated.

Hello, We had the same issue. With wem, you can create a new network drive in application settings mapped to \\tsclient\c$ and then assign it with a letter but not on a subfolder and I don’t find why. But with that, you can create a shortcut to a subfolder on the desktop based of the mapped drive with the drive letter.
Other thing that is working is pin a subfolder of the local redirected drive in the quick access tab.

Thanks Loic, maybe a dumb question but how do you pin to the quick access tab via WEM? There's "quick launch" in WEM but that doesn't work and I don't think that is the same as quick launch. Any tips?

We do it manually in Citrix user session or we send a little howto document
