been ages since i last set up Citrix Universal print server. Am i missing something ? I installed the Citrix UPS Server component on our windows print server and enabled the below polices. But when testing i am still seeing the session printer use the native print driver and not the Citrix UPD. No FW between VDA's and Citrix UPS/Printserver and filtering on the new policy is fine (Filtered to DG and user group)
sorted VDA's needed a reboot after policy creation

UPS has got nothing to do with Universal Driver. Universal driver is the actual printer driver so you don’t need to install vendor drivers on the VDA. UPS basically replaces the Microsoft print mapping tech with Citrix tech. Supposed to give you more features like the load balancing but it’s just another way of mapping really

I know what it is and does 👍

We use network session printers using native drivers on the VDAs and I want to get rid of those print drivers on VDAs so UPS is perfect. I just hadn't set it up in a long time and the session printers were still showing the native driver rather than the Citrix universal print driver after the setup . A reboot of the VDA sorted it and now the network session printers are using the Citrix universal print driver as per expected behaviour

Sounds like a plan
