What is your preferred method to apply configuration sets? At the catalog level or OU level or?

OU simply because we have so many catalogs that it would be pure insanity to manage like that.

Catalog level is what nightmares are made of. Didn't take long for us to realize through internal testing it was not a great way to manage those.

I love using catalogs personally. Curious as to why the negative thoughts on that approach

I have mine set through catalogs. I tend to use OUs for specific test scenarios.

We use catalog. It's nice to be able to see what policy is applied when browsing the catalogs.

Really interested to hear Oz expand on why it is a nightmare. We started with OU because it was the only option, but more and more moving to catalog.

Inflexibility for trying to unapply. As mentioned they apply no problems. But on multiple occasions, trying to disengage them as a nightmare forcing image update. So now just continue using normal targeting which has all the flexibility for filtering and not the downside of locking to the catalog. If it's set and forget, it's fine
