For those working for resellers there's more changes coming in the partner program too - getting harder to maintain partner status.

A year ago I started branching off into other EUC stacks, not as good as I am with Citrix. But I’ll manage. It’s sucks for sure. But other opportunities will come in time and other programs to help.

Sad to see it go. I'm still owed a CTP bomber jacket from 11 years ago 🙂 I loved being a CTP back then, although I found the KPIs (travel and conferences) very difficult to achieve and was not renewed in 2015. Reinvigorated, I've been a CTA for the last 3 years. And like a few others I just applied to step back up to CTP status. With or without the programs, there will still be plenty of bloggers and speakers, as it doesn't change the community focus of individuals, but maybe people will put other stacks first. One of the biggest benefits was the NDA conversations/demos and feedback with the product teams, and the fact that you could reach out to them for assistance from time to time.

I still don’t understand the strategy behind this. Feedback from highly skilled people and promotion of your brand/product for almost nothing—why would something so beneficial be thrown away?

They are switching everything to the community pages where you can "earn" badges and credentials....naturally with the narrative tightly controlled

I spent three years topping the Citrix charts at Experts Exchange. Now that the CTP program has been cancelled, I can stop doing it, as that was one of my major contributions for the award

Sad to see the CTP program coming to an end, I have always enjoyed my time on the program. Of course from a technology perspective, especially in the earlier years it was very interesting but in 20 years no one will remember XenClient or Octoblu. What I will remember is being part of such a brilliant and energetic group of people, learning something new about other cultures and meeting new friends.

There is an ex-CTP channel? Please add me. I had to surrender my CTP when I went to work for Citrix and I had re-applied to be renewed this year. Ironically, I was in a meeting in Ft. Lauderdale listening to Mark T. talk about how community helped to make Citrix a billion dollar company in the first place when I got the email from Kimberly saying thanks for applying, but CTP was over. One of my favorite accomplishments was to be called a CTP if only for a couple of years. When I saw Allen had been let go, I figured that was the last nail in the CTP coffin. Is that the fat lady warming up that I am hearing?

I feel bad for the Citrix employee that is going to try to convince us to keep our CVAD subscription in the meeting we´re having on monday. My goal is to get rid of 99 percent of our users on citrix by july. Mainly because I no longer have faith in the company. It kinda sucks as Citrix has been my goto for 25 years.

Well basically they don’t need community anymore at all. The have now those tight connections with the really important customers and those CIOs and CFOs help them shape the products and tell them what acquisitions to do next. The products itselfs are anyway that great, reliable and just work that there is barely any improvement possible or needed.

As someone that is working with some of those really important customers, they really aren't that happy with Citrix, and are seeing less value with them, than they get from us and the community.

The Final Gathering of CTPs in Ft Lauderdale, 2024. Who would have thought this would have been the way the program ended. A year of bitterness, between TK/PE deciding to terminate CUGC and Perrine, pass the baton to Allen for a year then cut him and the rest of the community only a year later. We can choose to be bitter or we can choose to be appreciative for the times we shared and the memories we made. I’ll choose the latter. TK/PE will live with their reputations permanently in the minds of all Citrix fanbois now and into the future. #CTPForever #CTAForever
