So one of the NetScalers I'm looking at has a full /var directory - forgive my Linux-y noobness but I don't seem able to switch to the /var directory using cd to see what's in it....am I doing something stupidly wrong?
OK i sussed it, there is no listing in the command prompt of your directory like in Windows šŸ™‚

there is, you have to enter shell first though. so just type shell šŸ™‚
you can then cd / ls etc. If you want to clear out all log files from var that are older then 30 days, this should to it: cd /var/nslog; find . -mtime +30 -print -exec rm {} \;
or use winscp and browse it graphically

Thanks, the fact that it doesn't tell you which directory you're currently in had me flapping. Yeah should have used WinSCP - I just deleted a load of core dumps and it's now looking healthy šŸ™‚

You can see current dir using cmd ā€pwdā€

Awesome, that removes the "shit your pants" issue every time you issue an rm command šŸ™‚

Here you go, this cleans up the most full directories that can get you space back. https://www.jeffriechers.com/wiki/clear-space-on-adc-for-upgrade/
