Do Director reports of sessions include instances of desktop launches? Just outputted a year's worth of data and it isn't showing anything other than application instances, wondering if they aren't using the desktops or if the data simply isn't included

depending on version perhaps and this screenshot is from DaaS Monitor, but in Sessions it's possible to add Published desktop name now. otherwise a report under Trends can definitely show app as well as desktop sessions in the export.

Odd, I don't see the "Published Desktop Name" option....

ok pretty odd mixed results with "Published Desktop Name" in a Trends report. But there's also Session Type which is probably exactly what you're looking for. TL;DR, it is included, so odd if your reports aren't showing desktop usage if you believe they should be using it.

OK, let me try "Session Type", definitely got that 🙂

This is a 2402 CU1 environment. Not sure when Published Desktop Name came to the party - definitely wasn't always there 🙂

Yeah this is 2203 so I think it may have come along later. Well, there is zero data in the query when I put a Condition in for Session Type IS Published Desktop, so I think I am good to assume they're not in use...

So glad to know they finally added Published Desktop name. Does that apply to single session Desktop name as well? It was always frustrating that you could only filter to delivery group

I'd assume so Brian but I can't check it. 🙂 That said, I'm not sure it's mature yet - the export I did only showed a desktop name on about 50% of the records that very session type Desktop, whether the session launch had completed or not didn't seem to matter. So maybe some more work needed there.
