Citrix CSP is dying over here. @ all Citrix CSP Partners here in Slack: How is it going for you? I just phoned with our German Distributor. We received our CSP Quote to convert from Citrix virtual apps Standard over to Citrix UHMC in June. We agreed to order mid August to transition on the 1st. September. Now the rumors are cooking wild that Citrix canceled all Quotes lower 2000 CALs. Our quote is 1800 CALs. We were told that our Distributor is trying to fulfill our quote since 15.08.2024 and all they receive is dead silence from Citrix. Today they were told, that CSP changes are incoming any day and they just have to wait for new CSP FAQs. They know nothing and they only know about rumors like I. Rumor is Citrix wants to get rid of CSPs with <2000 seats. She was very sorry and says she knows nothing and is desperately waiting for answers and said she can't order licenses for over 20% of their customer base. And reddit is also on fire, we are not alone: https://www.reddit.com/r/Citrix/comments/1f38425/citix_csp_is_an_absolute_mess/

Having similar issues - taken 2 months to get some new NetScaler VPX CSP licenses allocated and they are now only valid for 90days. Still haven't got the Citrix Virtual Apps licenses I ordered at the same time - was instructed by Citrix Licensing Support to use a 99 Day Eval (on a production env) for the time being (as we are now running in Grace mode) until they get things sorted. It's a complete mess. 😞

I'm not directly involved but I hear we're having a massive sh!t fight with Citrix too over CSP licenses...

fresh of reddit ping @Ryan Gallier
Distribution confirmed right now: All CSP Partners in Germany below 2000 seats are unable to buy any more licenses.

It's practically worldwide...

I suspected that, but had no confirmation, as the information is so fresh.

From what I've heard (outside of NDA and Citrix resources), is that a CSP Distributor has been selected, and they will take on all partners with CSP order quantities below 2000. The Citrix Fusion Partner Guide has been updated as such (5hours ago), reflecting the changes that were there on August 8, but pulled shortly thereafter. So now we are waiting until the news breaks publicly, and which distribution partner will be responsible per territory. Then we'll have to wait until they are ready administratively to cope with the changes. I still have some questions on how it will work technically, but that is a problem for later. FYI, we also had our quote pulled for CSP UHMC for 250 licenses. Citrix apparently withdrew all open quotes somewhere around August 20, and refuses to transact orders which weren't already accepted by them. Apparently that is something they can do according to the fine prints. Not really something I appreciate, but hey here we are.

Insanity.

From Oct 1st, looks like Arrow Electronics are the long term strategic partner (in North America and Europe) for partners consuming less then 2K CSP Licenses.
m
I already heard rumors in that direction. Then on the other hand, we have a quote about 1883 HMC cals, with a fair price that I want to see fulfilled. I don't see us getting a competitive price when we have to renegotiate from scratch. Then on the other hand, If there isn't a fast solution, we run into the 100% increase for monthly CSP billing.
j
I sincerely hope that CSG will put the MRR 100% increase on-hold during the transition, as Idon't expect any accepted quotes to be transacted.
so we're stuck either way until we can buy from Arrow
r
I wonder if Arrow had to grow 15% YOY... 🙄

Does anybody already had any contact with Arrow?
Citrix won't talk to us. Our Distri says Citrix is ghosting them. Even when we try to purchase 2000 instead of 1800, where aren't getting any response.
r
No, I have not yet. That must be super frustrating.
m
We were now told, that our (ex) German Distri is no longer allowed to work with us. We must work with Arrorw, but Arrorw is not ready yet. We should wait about two weeks until we get more information.

What a trainwreck
