Do we know how to pin Teams2 to the TaskBar via WEM, without creating two icons? (Outlook via WEM | Teams via WEM | Normally opened Teams2)
s
This is created by Windows.
Or there is a registry key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband.
Look for a subkey that corresponds to Microsoft Teams. This might take some searching, as it can be identified by its GUID or by looking for entries that mention Teams. you can delete it or change it and try again.

@Sharp Guo Thanks for your answer, but you misunderstood my question. Sorry, I described it poorly. The 1st Button, Outlook, is created via WEM. The 2nd Button, New Teams, is created by WEM. The 3rd Button is what you see, when you open Teams through the 2nd button. The 3rd Button is only there, while Teams is opened. I want that WEM is able to create a New Teams Button, that will also be the active button, while being opened.

thanks for the explanation! could you give your configuration for the teams taskbar so I can try it on my local env?

@Sharp Guo Sorry for the late reply: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\ms-teams.exe %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps

after I click the button, the new button shows. but using the task manager to view the process, it shows "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MSTeams_24193.1805.3040.8975_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe"
it is different with the WEM pinned path. So the Windows display a new button.

Yes, makes total sense, and I know that. Problem is, that Teams puts the Version in the path, making it challenging to keep up with WEM, if the version changes regulary.
As Teams is super duper ultra important these days, it would be nice if WEM found a way to offer a Teams2 button that works reliable. I know it's not your guys fault, but maybe WEM can help mitigate here?

Good suggestion. It could be a new request. thanks! cc: @Yan Wang
