No MM from a user aspect means nothing. They will see it and launch and get an error like you explained.
l
Lame. So with multi-site aggregation, the only solution would be to disable the icon, and i could leave all the machines out of mm?
r
Crap just realized it started a new thread my bad on that.
How are you doing the multi site agg? Is it each SF tied to site DDC and you add the other DDC under it in “managed Dleivery controllers and with extra options like select either site plublish indectical resources or you are using site mappings with groups. Trying to visualize it.
l
I didnt build the env, so I dont recall exactly, but im fairly sure its "published idential resources" and it just round robins them. Just surprised it would issue a VM from a DG in maint. mode
r
MM just stopes seasion launches. It doesn’t hide the resources from my experiences. SF is still pulling in the resources and the DDC is what says no you can launch because I was told you are in MM. definitely don’t want to give you bad advice and off the top of my head not sure what the fastest way to look at what you want. There are many options
l
i disabled the icon and it resolved the issues of any users getting the planned maintenance and directed them all to the working session.
r
Cool. I have done it with keywords as well. But it was all automated. Many ways to do it.
l
Oh, I like the keyword idea. I might do that next time!

@James Kindon is a master at this stuff

If you disable the delivery group it should work
j
Used to just disable the resource or disable the delivery group to remove it from the enum process when I was doing migration works
