Does anyone have Citrix UDP Audio working with Citrix Gateway Service and Cloud Connectors to onprem VDAs? We have it enabled in DaaS Policy, the VDA shows it is enabled but Monitor shows "Audio over UDP could not be used because the UDP ping message from the client was not received by the host."

Hey Cathy. UDP Audio is not supported with Gateway Service. However, you can use Loss Tolerant Mode for Audio, which provides the same benefits of UDP Audio without having to worry about the additional firewall considerations for UDP Audio
c
OK we are not yet on 2402
m
available with 2311 and later
c
OK thank you - I could not find in the documentation where it stated outright it was not supported in previous versions
So it says that EDT must be set to preferred for this setting to be applied (loss tolerant mode for audio) but EDT is not supported via Gateway Service.
m
EDT is supported with Gateway Service. But you must enable Rendezvous for EDT to work with Gateway Service since the Cloud Connectors don't support the protocol
which version of the VDA are you using?
c
Right we don't have Rendezvous in place yet.
So I'm testing Rendezvous - I've got my session working and it shows as EDT (UDP). I enabled Loss Tolerant Mode for Audio. In Monitor, under the Audio Channel I see this "Hint" UDP Audio is disabled due to current session's Encryption level set to RC5-40 or higher. If I run ctxaudio -g on my VDA It shows ClientAudioQuality : Low EnableAdaptiveAudio : True AdaptiveAudioTransport : Undefined EdtUnreliableAllowed : False Is there a visual to tell if the Loss Tolerant Mode is working ?

Thanks Miguel - I was missing the VDA and Client registry keys from here: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX581139/support-for-audio-over-edt-lossy-protocol. Got it working now.
