Heya, when you DNS proxy, by default the records are cached. However if an update happened on the DNS entry (change IP), it will be picked up by NS only when the entry TTL expires. I didn't realise this so for now, I've set to max TTL to 900 sec to mitigate this. I thought it would had been almost instant, pick up the change. Is there a better way to do this? As if you use DNS for failover you are a bit screwed without having to manually flush the cache! thanks

Shorter TTL is the only way to refresh the cache. But, that would affect any DNS provider.

Wasn’t there an option to disable the caching in the dns settings?

I do believe there is an option to disable caching

Thanks guys, yes there is an option to disable the caching. I was hoping I could have both. In NS, you have an option to set the max TTL value which override the DNS one, that's the one I set to 15 min.
