@Deyda Hey just posted an issue report on github with Teams classic not installing with neverred. Also cannot get New Teams to show up on my windows 11 test machine.

I've added a comment to the issue on what I think the fix is for New Teams. I think TeamsClassic install should be ok - are you sure you have updated to the latest version of Evergreen module locally, as Aaron changed the App names for the 2 MS Teams Apps last week: MicrosoftTeams -> MicrosoftTeamsClassic MicrosoftTeamsPreview -> MicrosoftTeams

cant seem to locate new teams on windows 11. the install runs through and appears to be successful, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

another thing is, im currently logged in with my user account and ran the updated script as admin. maybe i need to log out and in for new teams to hook in?

Hi @Deyda - I think the Teams download was updated incorrectly in NeverRed 2.10.28. If I select to Download Microsoft Teams & Microsoft Teams 2 as per the screenshot, I get the following in the logs:

Also, I notice teamsbootstrapper.exe is downloaded but only used to uninstall New Teams if it is already installed but is not then subsequently used to install New Teams (line 28306 is commented out). Is this intentional - is there a good reason not to use the bootstrapper?
BTW - I'm running Evergreen PS Module v2404.928

@Danny - if it's not finding 'MicrosoftTeamsClassic' it means you have an old version of the Evergreen PowerShell Module installed - update Evergreen Module to the latest version and all will be good.

strange I always just run neverred and i thought it checks for latest version of evergreen. ill try to manually upgrade it and see

Yes if u run NeverRed it updated the needed Powershell modules.

yea still nothing. I'm using neverred as always and it said evergreen up to date. good news though that new teams worked for me on the W11 deployment
ok figured it out. seems like powershell 7 does not actually update the evergren module. i used powershell 5 and saw it kick off properly

no clue. wonder why ps7 didnt update for me but ps5 did
unfortunately bloomberg download now failed lol
PS C:\Users\*username*> Update-Module -Name Evergreen -Force Update-Module: Module 'Evergreen' was not installed by using Install-Module, so it cannot be updated. this is the error i get when trying to manually update evergreen in PS7. no such prompt with powershell 5
