Odd issue. I had Profile Management configured in WEM. Watned to test it out in Studio instead. So I disabled the Profile Management portion in WEM and enabled it in Studio. However, when you login to a VDA profile management is disabled. I checked and wem did NOT remove the registry entries in HKLM\Software\Policies\Citrix\UserProfileManager. Studio added the UserProfileMangerHDX key, but the WEM one seems to be taking priority. any idea how to get WEM to remove the registry entries when disabling Profile MGMT in wem?

wem would always "win" no? Its run in the user session.

Yes wem does win. But when I disabled it, the registry entries remained. I think carls suggestion of “reset profile” setting may do the trick. Thanks !

also refresh Cache on the Agent side, just to make sure the user session is not getting old settings.

They go in as preferences to the image, similar to how some of FSLogix does. You need to add reg remove actions in WEM to get rid of them. However, I would recommend leaving them in WEM. It's a lot easier to get granular within WEM than it is in policies.
