I have built up a Desktop and Server OS test for UPM vs FSLogix. I like some of the features that are coming to UPM, but I agree. FSLogix is still more stable in my testing. Have you started testing out any of the 2402 EAR1 or 2 versions?

We are working with the dev team on last few things that were buggy with CPM and containers with new Teams. But been told 2402 LTSR will have fix now for the reported stuff we are giving them so hopeful there as we need to treat the EAR 2 now. In general, very hopeful it does as honestly trying to get away from FSLogix limitations and CPM had much more to offer

are you seeing consistent behavior with multiple clients? Or was this just the first you've seen this at? I've done a couple smaller deployments with no real issues, but just looking for confirmation on the big enterprise side of the house, like at scale.

Well, to be honest, I have not used CPM containers with published apps. All my results with it have been in a VDI, and it's been in direct mode(FSLogix Term), which is "Enable Exclusion Access to VHD containers" turned on for CPM containers. I was testing with it turned off (RW mode engaged) and was testing with Enable Multi-session write back. But it was a short and sweet validation, and my focus was on Teams 2.x But like @Oz Zy said already

We don't user 2311 or 2022 yet (should be getting the first 2022 server this week though), but with 2016/2019 and 2203 LTSR (All the CUs) and published apps we don't experience anything similar to those issues. I also have never seen a cLockfile in the profile container folder, so that will be something to watch for and how it is used. Interesting findings though.

@Dennis Parker it's possible to share your UPM configuration from the GPO please ?
