We are heavy OFDC users and would like to move away from using it. Once we change settings in the GPO or manually in the registry to disable the use of OFDC for certain things, (we wont do all at once) what is the process for migrating the data from OFDC to the profile disk? Do we have to do this manually or will FSlogix migrate for us? If manually do we have to hunt down the locations then mount the disks can copy and paste for the user or script?

Data that was in the ODFC container will get re-populated in the Profile Container automatically. It's one of the advantages of using ODFC containers, if there is a problem with it, you can delete the users ODFC container and it will get re-created and populated on next logon - without impacting their Profile Container. ODFC is effectively just a cache for data that is persisted elsewhere e.g. O365.

I believe users will need to re-login to O365 apps (Office +OneDrive+Teams etc....after the switch to Profile only.

I just turned off odfc in my environment, we are using adfs, so user didnt notice anything, except that outlook had to redownload mail
v
Looks like that you only configure the OST option in ODFC and not the licensing and activation?
d
I think I had both activation and licensing, but we use federation and adfs, so users are never prompted to activate
