Found one of my notebooks from trade school way back in 2000.

You were definitely going places :D
...and your handwriting is amazing 😄
n
lol, that's what I like most about the notes - my writing. Still write like that to this day.

My handwriting is worse today compared to when I was not using a keyboard on a daily basis
n
Mine is, too, but really only because I try and write faster to get it over with. That and carpal tunnel.
k
Last week I was looking at some drawings in my sons class room, he's in 3rd grade. I noticed that a couple of the girls in his class have better handwriting than me 😕
This is 9-10 year old kids we're talking about 😄
n
lol
I found all of this while cleaning out my basement. Inside that bin was like 50 lbs. of reference books, from learning Unix to Cisco stuff.
k
Cisco stuff? So you're a network guy now? 😄
n
That was back when I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. When I enrolled in trade school, it was originally on the networking side of things.
Then I remembered that I loved myself, so I switched out.

I guess you also remembered that it's always the network or DNS we're blaiming when something is not working? 😄
n
haha, pretty much.
Networking didn't appeal to me enough, but it was considerably better than programming. I hated every C/C++ course I ever took.
k
I actually also had some Cisco training when I attended trade school, but like you, it didn't really appeal to me either
j
Nick for your carpal tunnel, did you try the vertical mouse? it helps me to fix that.
n
Honestly, using a mouse was never an issue. Writing sentence after sentence the way I do in all block letters? Yeah, that gets old real fast.

my handwriting is similar to yours except far less legible, and I concur on the pain that it can cause. I think its funny they were still teaching XT vs AT stuff in early 2000s. Oof
