Hi Marco i have this issue as well on Server 2022. After some couple of minutes Teams is starting normally. I have read somewhere that this is know to Microsoft but cant remember where 🙂
it is listed on the first page
@Jason Parker did you maybe already find the cause for this issue?
m
thanks, for me this happens also on 2019. It´s pretty hard to determine when this happens.
j
As I have discussed with @Marco Zimmermann, this is most commonly an issue with AV products like SentinelOne, Palo Alto, or the like. We've not seen this as an FSLogix interaction, but could be something on the Teams side.
If you have a reproducible scenario, a procmon of the repo would be helpful to our teams.

as far as i know, autostart should be deactivated so that the error does not occur. You can start it via WEM
m
Its not the autostart itself, teams wont launch entirely (see my screenshot above, its ms-teams.exe, not _autostart.exe If you run it as I dont use WEM 😉 Personally I think this has to do with trend micro filter drivers. When disabling trend micro this error occurs also. When installing a machine without trend micro it does not occur.
happend today again. It happens in two completely different environment. This is just pure shit.
Hi all, we´re getting deeper here. ms_teams.exe is located in "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\.." When launching it via the "App" Shortcut in Startmenu, Teams fails to launch, "Invalid parameter". When granting the user execution permissions in "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" (completely unsupported" and launching ms_teams.exe with a "normal" shortcut every start succeeds. Anyone can help understand whats happening here?
f
do you have teams side by side installed or is it a clean install?
m
its a clean install from scratch

@Marco Zimmermann
see this update: Issue2
j
While that might work for this user, it isn't what we've seen in @Marco Zimmermann environment. I spent over 2 hrs looking at this with Marco and the issue isn't with the folder paths.
I plan to reply to this post.

Thank you Jason

I see this as well at times, but not for FSLogix. CPM side only
