Can anybody point me at information (preferably not from Microsoft as I think I have exhausted what they provide) that tells how to properly configure AzureADBroker plugin to work with Citrix where it doesn't cause errors when users change servers? I have gotten my servers Hybrid Domain Joined, but still have errors and I think the users aren't able to properly authenticate with the AAD broker plugin and I probably have something simple misconfigured somewhere. I have tons of errors that in the Microsoft -> Windows -> AAD -> Operational log, but nothing that I have been able to make any sense or find any help figuring out what they really mean. Our users are federated, and there may be some configuration in our Identity Provider needed as well, and I have them involved in looking at this as well. I just can't find any real information. I'm just grasping at straws here trying to find anything or anyone that really understands the process and how I can get Office not to error out on a regular basis when users switch servers.

Maybe I am dreaming, and the search box is failing me, but did someone mention a private hotfix related to Microsoft Teams 2.0 causing session disconnects?

Over the past 6-8 weeks or so, our helpdesk has been receiving tickets for people stating that Outlook (for Microsoft 365 MSO Version 2408) will stop updating/receiving new emails for random users. Nothing they do except recreate the mail profile fixes it (allegedly), and I guess sometimes that doesn't even work. We are running Citrix VAD on Server 2022. Another image/machine catalog is not having this issue - the main difference is that in the problematic one, internet traffic gets routed through a Cisco Umbrella VPN tunnel for web filtering, and the problem free image does not. That's not to say there isn't some other difference to attribute it to, we've just been unable to find it. Running MS Connectivity Reports between the two images shows all tests passing for the unfiltered servers, and the ones that go through the VPN are getting alerts for proximity to the EXO entrance point (we typically get routed to a Cisco datacenter in Dallas), but what I suspect the true culprit is are failed tests for SSL interception for many of the Outlook and M365 URLs. Our security engineer is insistent bypassing content filtering for those URLs is too risky, typical security dude stuff. But the fact the connectivity reports cite that as an issue, which MS recommends disabling, seems to be a decent enough place to start given what we're seeing between the two images. Anybody dealt with similar issues before? Either with Outlook stops receiving new email, or with a web filter like Umbrella messing with M365 suite?

I have a new user that gets this almost every morning logging into an RDS host with an FSLogix profile. My understanding is thats when she tries to get into Outlook. If you say "yes, all apps" it just spins and nothing happens. If you say "this app only" outlook opens up, but rinse/repeat next time is what I'm told. Sometimes her login says "other user". It might only be happening on one host but i havent tracked that yet. Debating just deleting her fslogix profile and starting fresh

Is anyone here hybrid joining VDAs, but also then blocking Workplace Join? We have been doing the opposite initially - leave AAD at image seal, let it workplace join via the normal scheduled task at boot in the provisioned VDA, and everything works fine. However, when you launch an O365 app for the first time, you're presented with the attached screen. We use Okta Silent Activation for our federation, not ADFS. I have a ticket open with MS on this, and they're telling me to block Workplace Join entirely to get rid of that screen. Having a hard time getting them to tell me what we may lose by doing so, however.

Question - right now we are running Office 2016 on our terminal servers, but we'll have to discontinue it this year due to EOL. The majority of our users have F3 licenses, so they only have access to the web apps. Our problem is that once we remove Office 2016, they won't have any locally installed apps that can open office files. Is there any way to have office file extensions open in the web app when you open files from the file explorer on the terminal server? Right now are using a local NTFS share, but we are considering migrating to Sharepoint or Azure files soon.

do other people also get Teams 2 VDI constantly asking for mic / camera permissions? Once allowed, when a new version comes out it asks again and creates new entry in the privacy area. so we have several approved microsoft teams vdi entries.

My read aloud feature in word is failing for multisession win 11 users. It stops after the first paragraph. Same when using immersive reader. Tryed reinstalling office etc. Anyone experiencing the same?

We have a customer that is running into an issue logging into Office in a non-persistent VDI deployment after changing their password. We are using a separate disk for the user profile, where the entirety of the profile is redirected. User initially logs in and is able to access Office. However, after changing their password, they are unable to log back into their office applications. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Updated Teams deployment and update script. MS changed some of the update processes I was using previously, so I completely rebuilt my PowerShell from scratch. Feel free to test it out, and let me know where it can be cleaned up. And remember, I am not a programmer, I have been told by many programmers not to program, but I do it anyways. Anyone experience audio lag with new Teams lately? Not sure if it was the 2503 workspace app update but we've been seeing delays with audio kicking in, taking up to 30 seconds sometimes.

Hi ! for a project i am setting up a new golden image but i cannot find anything about the issue i have right now. new teams installed via DISM as it is a server 2019 image. Citrix MCS non-persistent image with FSlogix for profiles. the issue : there is 5 empty folder that are created when i launch new teams. Those folder have system handles that are stuck right away.(so when the session is closed the local_username folder stay there as it cannot close those folder.) Anyone came across this issue already ?

On server 2019 how do you reinstall new teams for an individual user (machine wide installer) it was removed from? Someone clicked reset and it's not listed under apps now.

What is everyone doing for Teams v2 Slimcore requirements and CIS controls; specifically 'Prevent non-admin users from installing packaged Windows apps'...which prevents the switch from WebRTC to Slimcore? There isn't a way to do granular exceptions for the above policy is there?

However, I've deployed some W11 VDIs with Crowdstrike and NOT onboarded them. Smart App Control is enabled. When verifying via PS with Get-MpComputerStatus, it states Defender is running in passive mode, as per design. Was anyone already in this situation? I just would like to know the behaviour. Is Defender still active even if passive is the output? Only because I've not onboarded them? This would explain my experienced performance decrease. I'm aware that Defender is also performing scan operations in passive mode.

Hi, I need some inputs on M365 seamless SSO. Currently in the process of building a new Server 2025 Citrix Image with DaaS, Entra ID SAML/FAS to replace an old Server 2019 OnPrem environment and I can't get M365 seamless SSO to work inside the Citrix sessions (browser, M365 apps, etc.). Entra ID Connect (Password Hash Sync and "Enable single sign on" checkbox) and seamless SSO GPOs (IE zone assignment and "Allow updates to status bar via script" setting) are configured according to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/hybrid/connect/how-to-connect-sso-quick-start . The Citrix servers are Entra ID hybrid joined. SSO works fine if a disable FAS, as the user gets a PRT token. When I enable FAS, the PRT acquisition obviously does not work, as we don't have CBA (and don't really want to because of the hassle with MFA registration/reset) and SSO does not work anymore. Seamless SSO also does not work, when I disable FAS and the Hybrid Join altogether - even though I can see a kerberos ticket for HOST/autologon.microsoftazuread-sso.com when I run klist inside the Citrix session... Any clues to what I could check?

I've got one personal device (Me, not one of my users, which helps), where Teams v2 SlimCore is not being triggered; the client only goes CTX HDX Optimized and not SlimCore Optimized). I've uninstalled CWA (2503.10 EAR) multiple times with either the GUI checkbox or withe /installMSTeamsPlugin checkbox, tried using the Teams Plugin MSI, and should be GACS managed as well. Every other machine I own loads the DLL and triggers SlimCore... except this one. CR VDA, Teams 25153.1010.3727.5483, Plugin 25.14.1.8 Summary.txt states
