I was in XD PM when AHV (Acropolis) support was added and it is a huge undertaking to add another hypervisor and in that case there were opportunities and use cases in the wider Nutanix partnership to drive... I can't see Citrix being in a position to do that type of integration at the moment nor Proxmox being the obvious choice if you were to do a KVM type thing... just an opinion

Weโ€™ve got a few very decently sized customers looking at Nutanix AHV/Citrix before we could even ask Citrix for that integration. I canโ€™t see ProxMox going that direction without enterprise support and demand.

@Kees Baggerman and when AHV support went in XenServer was still only 32-bit so not an option for many VDI uses so AHV offered Citrix additional protection from being dependent on vSphere

I am using MCS with XCP-NG in a test deployment. Configured as a XenServer catalog. No issues so far.
