I wouldn’t be surprised if EUC is spun off…

hhhhmmmmm.... OK. EUC looks to be in a position to ne spun off. Separate PnLs, not co-mingling licensing, etc. But, EUC was also the ARR leader at VMW... BC loves ARR... and BC Hates work from home.... But how do you sell EUC (which you dont believe in)? you make it a separate co, reap the profits and look for a buyer.

That assumes broadcom wants to compete in that area in the first place, though.

Broadcom likes to make money. If it is in their longterm interest to keep it, they will. If not... I think there is real shopping going on right now (at least from the calls I am getting). So its short term$ vs longterm $....

Acquisitions tend to be very short-term focused in my experience, regardless of what they might be communicating. I'd be surprised if Broadcom wants to stay in the EUC arena given the competitive landscape vs other LOBs.

Horizon and WS1 has a very bright future.

Lots of my VMW peeps are more in tune than I am... but think VMW EUC will just go away is simply laughable. It is a billion dollar business (yes... it is) just by itself. We all know EUC, yet sometimes we even fall into FUD. Horizon, WS1, and a bunch of that tech is going to end up somewhere and doing pretty well... Just my quess.

Yep definitely will land somewhere either on its own or someone will scoop them up.

I don't know that anyone was saying the products would be killed off, I certainly wasn't.

Doesn't sound like my company is going to wait around to see what happens, as I honestly think we'll be moving on from VMware ESX. If I were a betting man, I'd say that Nutanix is about to get our business.
