When you ran the lodctr /r, was it just in C:\Windows\system32? If so, I have had to also run in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. Then that shows success....typically and then run winmgmt.exe /RESYNCPERF
j
Giving that a shot, thanks Martin. Yes was in system32
Same error 123 from inside SysWOW64

Hi Jon! Hope you are doing well bud. You could always give DISM and SFC a try…it has fixed rando Win issues for me more times than I can count. If you find errors/corruption and clean them up you can rebuild the performance counters after and see if your issues are fixed. Hey Stu, we'll roll another test today and let you know. FWIW, it's 100% repeatable, brand new VM, deployed from our OSD, plop everything down, attempt to add VDA, sad trombone. So it definitely is in our deployment.

could it be a pre req of some sort? what was the last version you tried that worked?
j
2305, which had a much more complicated install with the whole UPM hotfix song and dance
s
if you try to manually install afterwards does it work?
