lol - i found a solution but it didnt work when i put in the customers environment. I am trying to gauge whether the logic is appropriate for the environment given the strict user controls or how it needs to be re-wrapped by leveraging powershell
regedit /a "%FolderRedirLocation%" "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\"
the variable is tied to the users home drive
which is mapped to the profile (Desktops / Documents etc...)
