As I remember, the "non-machine install" installs into the user's profile directly which is why it is a pain for management and multi-user systems
a
Is that 1.7GB in the profile locations that MS recommended excluding from FSLogix etc.?
s
That 1.75 GB is already excluding the areas that MS says is ok to exclude.
They are only recomeding to exclude two areas now and txt files
j
It's a lot, with UPM I roam Teams, total size 3MB (no typo here). I don't roam the cache for sure, it's slower to start but under 2 min ish.
s
You sure no typo? Your teams profile size is 3 MB?
j
Well 3MB is with dedup, 6MB without
s
You must be excluding way more then what microsoft recomends. 1. .txt files 2. Media-stack folder 3.
%AppData%\Microsoft\Teams\meeting-addin\Cache
And thats just for non persistant. I dont see any recommendations for exclusions for persistant VDIs
j
A bit more but not a lot. Nothing stop you to use some of the exclusions of non persistent. Also when you upgrade Teams, it doesn't clean up some codeJS (something like that) folder, load of files and used space for nothing.
