Ill ask about that im not sure what the process you are talking about is
j
Every time, i reboot the elm, its unusable for about a couple of hours. less, if its only been rebooted the same day. You can start all the process up, make new layers, but you cant finalize of publish. And if you go under system settings, and "test" the storage, it throws an error. I read about the same issue, about 2-3 years ago, and someone found som indexing task, running at startup.. maybe reclaiming white space? I am guess, not all services are up and running, before this is completed.

So checked with support and they font think ghis is norma. I certainly have never seen it. You may want to open a ticket on it.

Definitely not normal in my experience either. We reboot the ELM weekly and haven't encountered this issue.
j
the problem is longer, if there is longer between reboots i.e. several months.

@Janus Hallenborg Stampe please raise a ticket for this, it is definitely not expected. Also what version of the appliance are you running? is it the latest?
there have been some database optimizations within the last several releases which could have an impact, but we would need a ticket and further analysis to confirm the cause.

A colleague has a ticket running. Not the very lates, but the one from June. The app layering environment, has around 3 different OS layers, 20 images, and lots of app layers. The elm has been running for more than 4 years, in place firmware upgraded all the time.
