Or, in one of these scenarios, would it be better to separate the published desktop from the published apps and only have onedrive installed on the desktop?
j
With office container separate, use session disk config, with no office container, you are screwed :-)

With the published apps, worth looking on if you actually a) need a profile and b) need the same profile as the desktop - absolutely nothing wrong with splitting things out

Session/diff disk is the answer, but it would have to be Office365 Container to be supported I think. Easy answer though, use Citrix UPM for the second session

https://james-rankin.com/all-posts/quickpost-allowing-multiple-server-sessions-with-fslogix-profile-containers-by-using-citrix-upm/ - note on the above article, the "use concurrent sessions" setting in FSLogix is not required (and no longer present I think) - it was a mistake I've never gotten around to correcting yet

ya'll are too smart and always have such good ideas. 🙂

i thought onedrive hated all of them except direct access
j
Profile Container hates them all except direct - it depends whether you want to have separate for each session "unique", a locally stored diff, or a networked diff. Office365 Container should work with them though
c
O365 is all i use FSL for
I want to use Citrix for Onedrive but still having trouble getting it to work properly in my environment/releasing the container, so I'm still using FSL Office container mostly just for onedrive
althogh at this point i dont know what benefit it is giving me except possibly not requiring users to authenticate to onedrive each time. (non-persistent machines)

On why the concurrent option was removed is explained here. https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/fslogix-docs/issues/85
j
Yeah it was a mad setting to let users log in twice using the same userid

Onedrive in a VDI setup is a pain at times. It always seems that something will mess up.

ShareFile with OneDrive connector is a great option if you have ShareFile…
t
we are working on that with Citrix, If you have full desktop, you save your document on O4D, within the PA you want to see or open this document, Our setup: Profil is UPM Outlook, Search and O4D each .vhdx fisk we have a fix, where we get for the second OneDrive a separate .vdisk and no merge at logoff --> new problem is, second logon prompts you for logon credentials. still working on this. and we have a second fix, where you can block multisession access.
