No, you can use it directly to generate the rules and then apply them through Citrix policies directly, AFAIK
This is not for profiles - it is for App Access Control
c
right, but it says it is implemented through citrix profile management. typo?
j
Yes, it is part of the UPM stack
But it is not profiles. Think FSLogix Profile Container and FSLogix App Masking
This is the same thing as App Masking

So if you wanted to use this, use the Rules Generator to generate your rules, and use UPM policies (in AD or Studio) to deploy the rules
c
ive only used FSL for the office container. Wonder if i should look into fslogix app masking or this
j
Well, it depends how much game time you think FSLogix is going to get from Microsoft. And you could use UPM for the Office Container side of things too.
UPM is getting a lot of love at the minute. FSLogix, not so much. YMMV

c
i would like to actually get away from FSL. Citrix profile management is getting more features every day

You can use the Rules Generator to generate your rules, and use WEM web console to deploy the rules now.

Assignment objects supported are Active Directory based only, right? I mean Azure only users, groups and computers are not supportedโ€ฆ yet?
s
You are right, @Matthias Eckerle . Right now the WEM tool hub only supports the AD based users/groups/computers. Thanks very much for your valuable feedback!
