I am trying to figure the best strategy here. We will be deploying 15k Citrix MCS Pooled VDIs in Azure. We need FSLogix for M365 data. Azure Files has a limit of 2000 handles. I am not sure if Azure files would be a good solution as we will need a number of shares and possibly more storage accounts. Is there a better service than Azure Files? These limitations of Azure files is very difficult to manage. Any thoughts?
NetApp files

Yea ANF will be much easier. You can have fslogix look through shares to find yhe users containers but alot more to manage.

Yea that was my idea is to use NetApp files. When did Microsoft published the limitations of the Azure Files handles?
The problem is how long will it take to design and deploy the NetApp service.

With that scale it’s unlikely you will be throwing everything at one storage repository regardless of the tech - other azure limits and considerations will hit you. ANF is awesome, I’d reach out to their tech folk who have always been very helpful in design. It’s a very simple solution but has some considerations are zone methodology and cross region replication costs etc. Just think in Pods, everything gets easier when you think in pods
