did you ever find anything out about this?
r
It was my method and not being patient enough. 1. Unassigned the computer GPO in assessments. 2. Refresh the Host Agent settings form the console, the RegKeys(HKLM) will go away. 3. If you uncheck the Group Policy option, it will keep them their as it turns it off and nothing processes.(Which is what I kept doing, thinking it would disable them.) Once I unassigned it, the settings appeared to revert.

ah ok so thats nice. seems a bit easier than regular MS GPO?

Just depends. I am converting GPO for a client into WEM. There are many options. But I noticed any Computer GPP can't come in. Normal Computer GPO settings can, as they get convert to RegSettings containg the GPO name. Any user GPO that have GPP once you bring them in, you then have to convert them into the XML format. Then Import them in from the restore wizard. This brings in the Actions like Regkeys for user, Drive mapping etc. Then if you have normal user GPO it will bering them in as well like the computer GPO. But the Web Version on creating GPO is cool. Give you the options to import ADMX or create GPO based on a Microsoft looks at feel sorta.
My client does not like it, because of the different areas they have to go. I told them, I usually stick with user side things like GPP. But in that case, they wanted everything brought over. The only thing I am not liking is GPO logs. I don't see much information. Other than GPO applied. But I am looking for more details like native GPO offers. But you can use the WEM RSOP as well. I am still on the fence about it. But it seem good overall.
