Not sure if I should even try Machine Group Policies in WEM 😁
r
Yea, I have the same feeling
b
time is limited
r
What you mean?
b
Machine policies seem like a beta release, and CTX is the same as Microsoft right now. Customers are conducting all the tests in the production field
r
hard to say from my perspective. I have not tried it yet. But sounds like you have and have not had luck.
b
I never did, but my colleague strongly advised me against it
the worst is Applocker

Yea, I heard the same thing. I know the WEM service has the new UI. Which makes me think in time. The classic console will go away. I need to go learn all the parts of that new GUI. As of now, it throw's me off big time. I mean it's a cool face lift, I just need to get up to speed with it. I don't have a lot of clients using it yet. Most only use the Classic looks for the Service or on prem.
I seen a screenshot @Marco Hofmann is doing GPO side. I am curious how that experience has been?

I’m sick. Will answer later. Whats the challenge? All I can tell is it works very well so far!

Nothing is wrong, I am just curous how you go about apply the GPO for machines. Hope you feel better man.
I been testing the Machine GPO side. From my testing, you need a AD group with machines in it if you are going for conditions and filters. Unless you do the everyone group. It applies fast too.
Although in my testing, reverting the GPO settings is not an option, once it tattoos the registry it appears if cant revert the settings that pertain to the GPO feature not the other related actions. I am digging to see if this is possible. Clients keep asking for this and I am unsure yet.
