to check if a crop existed and if not, the application handled this. Now it throws an Error instead.. What method should I now use to check if a crop exists without throwing an error if it doesn't?

@User I believe the exception will not throw in production (APP_DEBUG=false). Maybe a small helper function could work, making use of the

has_fallback

parameter:

Thanks @User. Will do this! I'm sure you guys had your reason to add this ErrorHandler, however seems weird to me to throw an error that "something doesn't exist" on a function whose sole purpose is to check whether something exists or not.

I think the exception was meant to provide helpful hints while developing (ie. Did you forget to add the crop to your model?). I'd be curious to know more about your use case though. Are you passing different models in the same "pipeline" and relying on the output of

image()

to determine what to with a given model?

So personally, I do commit Twill assets in my project. Also, once the app is deployed to production, I include my own compiled assets in there. This makes it super simple to deploy (no build step remotely).
