Hi, we have an issue with an embedded liveboard, where it appears mostly below the fold, when the user selects a filter, the filter doesn't render correctly, see screenshot 1. If the user scrolls further down the fold on the page and clicks the filter it renders correctly, seen screenshot 2. Is there anything we can do to mitigate this? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1143209464875462756/1524080979835355420/image.png?ex=6a4e7285&is=6a4d2105&hm=7fea9c7d6777e9a4f1b1699b34c58b7857ac5cc0cb5ef6d170d2517aad19b991& https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1143209464875462756/1524080980263047168/image.png?ex=6a4e7285&is=6a4d2105&hm=cce8e23e38c966f2c3d855fa21c024b833bf6e485a4d00f252ce239719d01526&

Solution: Yes — this is usually a viewport/container sizing + lazy-load interaction issue with embedded Liveboards (especially when most of the embed starts below the fold). The first mitigation to try is rendering the Liveboard with
fullHeight: true
so the embed container grows with content, and (if needed) combine with
lazyLoadFullHeight: true
for performance. You can also set
minimumHeight
to avoid short/unstable container layouts.
Copy code
javascript
import { init, AuthType, LiveboardEmbed } from "@thoughtspot/visual-embed-sdk";

init({
  thoughtSpotHost: "https://<your-thoughtspot-host>",
  authType: AuthType.None,
});

const embed = new LiveboardEmbed("#ts-liveboard", {
  liveboardId: "<your-liveboard-id>",
  fullHeight: true,
  lazyLoadFullHeight: true,
  lazyLoadingMargin: "0px",
  minimumHeight: 700,
});

embed.render();
Also ensure your host container/CSS does not clip overlay UI: - avoid parent wrappers with restrictive
overflow
(like
overflow: hidden
) around the embed root - ensure the embed is in a stable layout region (not inside animated/transform-heavy containers during interaction) If you are using the centralized filter UX, you can test toggling
isCentralizedLiveboardFilterUXEnabled
to see whether behavior differs in your instance. --- Suggestions: - Reproduce with a very simple page (just embed + minimal CSS). If issue disappears, it’s likely host CSS/layout interference. - If possible, place the Liveboard higher on page or scroll it into view before opening filters. - If this persists after
fullHeight
+ CSS cleanup, open a ThoughtSpot Support ticket with: - SDK version - ThoughtSpot cluster version - minimal repro page - browser/version - screen recording showing first click vs after-scroll behavior --- Docs: - Full height + lazy loading: https://developers.thoughtspot.com/docs/lazy-load-fullHeight#_loading_visualizations_in_the_liveboard_viewport
