06/04/2026, 11:28 PMvisibleActions (allow-list only what you want), or
- hiddenActions (hide specific defaults)
Do not use both together.
javascript
import { init, AuthType, LiveboardEmbed, Action } from "@thoughtspot/visual-embed-sdk";
init({
thoughtSpotHost: "https://your-thoughtspot-host",
authType: AuthType.None,
});
const embed = new LiveboardEmbed("#ts-embed", {
liveboardId: "your-liveboard-id",
// Option 1: allow-list actions (recommended if you want tight control)
visibleActions: [Action.Share],
// Option 2: hide only specific actions (use this instead of visibleActions)
// hiddenActions: [Action.AddToFavorites], // replace with the exact Action enum for collections in your SDK version
});
embed.render();
If you are already using visibleActions and still seeing “Add to collection”, check:
1. Whether that menu is from a different embed surface (Liveboard page vs viz-level menu vs full app embed page).
2. Whether action config is applied to the exact embed component instance.
3. Whether another config path is overriding it.
Also, per docs, custom menu behavior is controlled only through visibleActions, hiddenActions, and `disabledActions`; and visibleActions + hiddenActions cannot be combined.
Suggestions:
- Start with a minimal visibleActions list (for example only Action.Share) to confirm control works.
- If this is AppEmbed/full app embed, validate that configured actions are applicable across all embedded pages.
- If needed, share your exact embed class (LiveboardEmbed, AppEmbed, etc.) and current action config—I can help pinpoint why this one is leaking through.
