Hey team, Could you please clarify why we see the modal saying that the first report for the user was created, even though we already created a new report using the api/rest/2.0/metadata/tml/import endpoint? When we open the newly created report, it’s empty. We then click Search Data and hit Save. As a result, ThoughtSpot creates an entirely new report with a different name. My expectation is that it should save to the same report that was originally created via the api/rest/2.0/metadata/tml/import endpoint, rather than generating a new one. This is happening only once when the user is a new user.

As you can see, “new report 9” was created and loaded as an embedded report. Inside the embedded view, I clicked Search Data, and then clicked Save. As a result, a completely new report was created, and now I see two reports in the list. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong. Thanks.
This only occurs once, when the user is using TS for the first time.

I too tried this. I believe its a gap. You are not doing anything wrong. I am not sure if this alternative will work, but can you try the following: After creating the user via API, call the v2 user update endpoint to mark onboarding as complete: Use the api/rest/2.0/users/{user_id} (update user) endpoint with: show_onboarding_experience = false onboarding_experience_completed = true To also suppress the First Pin Experience modal, you would need to call the internal API endpoint as the user: POST /callosum/v1/user/onboarding/seen POST /callosum/v1/user/onboarding/seen with form parameters: hasSeenOnboarding=true pinsFlowSeen=true pinsSpotlightSeen=true
If this doesn't work out for you, please raise a support case. The respective team will fix it or give a better approach!

Unfortunately that didn't work. Could you please let me know how I can raise a support ticket. Thanks!
Could you please share the link to the form where I can submit a ticket? Thanks!
