Hey ! As a part of Benefits and allowances in the salary structure does anyone know of a "Gadget Policy" ?

We have WFH allowance (one time benefit) in the salary structure

How does that work ? What benefits do you offer ?

We provide a one time setup WFH allowance to buy anything which makes the employees more productive. We give it in 2 parts first part from their DOJ till they complete 6 months and the next part after they complete 6 months with us. Further on every work anniversary we give them 2,500 as an additional bonus.

Hey @Rohan Mankad, since WFH setup is usually a one-time setup, I'm curious about the reasoning for the 2.5k additional yearly bonus. How have people at SW utilized this?

We see higher utilisation let's say if you buy a laptop this budget can be utilised for maintaining it, buying peripherals IT folks spending behind those big mechanical keyboard ⌨️ or some people tend to even combine their yearly bonus with their remaining balance to buy something big.

Well totally depends on your spending capacity on the employee benefits we do 40,000 in 2 parts of 20,000 each

Hey @krithika ramachandran there is Gadget allowance also available which is a great tax saving option under section 17(2) have hardly seen companies offering this to employees.
