Anyone here have food vouchers as a tax saving component? We are thinking it through can we have Zomato/Swiggy vouchers and food bills consider under tax saving exemption of food allowance (2200 monthly)?
p
We at HyperVerge paired up with Enkash. its 2500 a month and its tax saving. The physical card can be used at Swiggy/Zomato/nature's basket. Enkash as a portal is good but can be better. I'd love to automate the monthly payments which right now is manual uploading and gets late due to Enkash going through an audit

We are thinking of moving away from Sodexo card option and giving monthly tax saving allowance in the form of Zomato/Swiggy/big basket and food bills wanted to understand from a tax perspective can that be included under exemption?
p
Directly partnering with Zomato/Swiggy will not be covered under exemption.

Not directly through Jellybean

Zaggle cards could be a good option. It's entirely customizable and you can control what it can be used for. And yes, the food vouchers can be a part of flexi benefits and I think it can go up to ₹3500 per month depending upon how much are you giving in other flexi benefits. Curious about the reason you're moving away from Sodexo 🤔

It is credited as Food voucher and it goes directly to the food wallet..The employees usually buy groceries from this wallet

We moved from Sodexo to Zaggle - Zaggle is a better option if you are using Razorpay.

You can also explore Paytm

We use Paytm food vouchers, and it work perfectly for us. It will only create an issue if any employee's KYC is not done with Paytm .
i
HI, we were using paytm, however, that can only be used for food and the money will go to food wallet in paytm, moreover paytm is not taking new registrations as well, so we had to move out of it. Sodexo by far i feel is the best coz that 2200 rs can be used extensively at different locations - resturants/supermarts etc

We're using Paytm too and it directly gets credited into the food wallet. Can be used at restaurants, bigbasket, etc.

@Isha Goyal - You mentioned ‘Paytm is not taking new registrations’! Could you pls let me know if you meant to say that they are not accepting addition of new onboards.

@Rohan Mankad HDFC has Happay meal cards which covers F&B and grocery etc and even ICICI has 'ICICI Bank Multi Wallet Card'si offering similar service if you wish to go away with Sodexo. We are planning to introduce the same for our employees as part of tax friendly tax saving component.

We use Paytm Food wallet (2700 is tax exempt every month and can be used with restaurants, Big Basket, groceries stores, etc.)
