I have an offer discussion call for the HR executive position. Do you have any tips or advice for me to negotiate better?

I am not the right person to answer any question regarding salary negotiation. But here's my two cents: (speaking from my experience as a candidate) 1. Don't fall for the performance bonus trap. 2. Prepare some strong points as to why you deserve to get desired amount. Stand your ground.

1. Understand what stage the company is at in terms of the funding and growth. 2. Research on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Payscale etc to get some understanding of what's the market payout like for your role. 3. Know why you quote a particular number and how can you add value 4. You can ask for Joining Bonus/ESOPs/ other benefits as well along with the CTC
