There's a salary discussion round for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator role with a startup having its Headquarters in California, and office in other cities like NYC, Toronto and Delhi. But for India location, they are working from home. I was told that this is a contractual role of 1 year but has the potential to get into full-time. I am NOT okay with 1 year contract, so then they said it will be a 6 months contract post which they will convert me into full-time. My questions are : Question 1- What are some of the things that I should know or ask them before accepting this contractual role? Question 2: What could be their salary range for this role? (It is a well-funded startup) Question 3: Last but not the least, any advice/suggestion for salary negotiation would be really helpful. Any other advice for me ?!

Few things which I can add here: You can negotiate and ask salary as per your capabilities Eg if you are asking 4 - 6 Lakh which I think is what freshers are generally offered apart from premiere institute offers , make sure you add reasons why are you demanding that, what value you would be adding to them, and why you deserve that and once you are able to convince them through above aspects anyone who is looking for good candidate would not mind offering. In this case since it is contractual role, which I think is bit risky comparitively to FT role you need to decide whether you are ready for this or not?
