Hi @Dipali Pallai thank you for doing this AMA. When the organisation grows how important is it to find the right balance between compensation vs the benefits provided to the employees? Does it have a significant impact in talent retention?

Hi Rohan, Thank you for your question. Striking a balance of all the components within the total reward system, that includes compensation and benefits(both monetary and non monetary) and having a robust strategy is extremely important especially when an organisation is growing and in today’s new way of working. Comp vs Ben changes based on both internal and external factors - the industry/sector that you are in, your financial constraints/feasibility, economies of scale, grading system, internal parity (it is often the case, due to archaic com and Ben policies, tenured employees get left behind on the com front), your competitive edge in the market in terms of not just comp but benefits as well, plays a critical role. One needs to relook comp and Ben structures at different points of time. While there are multiple other factors, comp and Ben is amongst the key factors to attract, retain and motivate talent. I hope this answers your query.
