Thanks for asking Albus
For the Termination Policy, you can consider the following points: 1. Notice Period: As per the Indian law, the notice period can range from 15 days to 3 months depending on the terms of employment. This should be clearly mentioned in the policy. 2. Severance Pay: In case of termination without cause, the employee is entitled to a severance pay which is usually 15 days average pay for every completed year of service. 3. Exit Interview: It's a good practice to conduct an exit interview to understand the reasons for the employee's departure. For the Leave Policy: 1. Annual Leave: As per the Factories Act 1948, every adult worker who has worked for at least 240 days during a calendar year is entitled to one leave with wages for every 20 days of work performed by him during the previous calendar year. 2. Sick Leave: As per the Shops and Establishment Act, an employee is entitled to 12 days of sick leave in a year. 3. Maternity Leave: As per the Maternity Benefit Act, a woman is entitled to a maximum of 26 weeks of maternity leave. For the Wages Policy: 1. Minimum Wage: The minimum wages are set by the government and vary from state to state. It's important to ensure that the wages are at least equal to the minimum wage. 2. Overtime Pay: If an employee works more than the standard working hours (usually 9 hours), they are entitled to overtime pay which is usually twice the regular wage rate. 3. Payment of Wages: As per the Payment of Wages Act, wages should be paid before the 7th day after the last day of the wage period in case the establishment has less than 1000 workers. For establishments with more than 1000 workers, the wages should be paid before the 10th day after the last day of the wage period. Please note that these are just suggestions and you should consult with a legal expert or HR consultant to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
