Hi All, Wanted to know/read about evaluating the right org structure. The right % of people in leadership role. Any related model or theory help. Let me know if anyone has any idea around it.

The right kind/number of roles depend on three broad criteria: 1. Span (usually, you can define that there should be a 1:5 or 1:6 kind of a ratio at each level) 2. Criticality (some roles like say a Legal Head or a Company Secretary may be needed even if there isn't enough of a span-related need 3. Strategic need (when expanding into a new area, you might have to operate with a lean, but top-heavy team to build the right market) Happy to chat in more detail if that helps.

Number of members at Leadership depends on multiple factors, such as headcount & team size, scale-up plans, industry the company is in, culture (flat or hierarchy), etc. Any practice (model or theory) will depend on the factors, followed by an action plan. I will be glad to know more and share inputs.
