@Komal Virwani - Night Shift as per the Provision starts at 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m., So plan your shift and facilities accordingly. 1. Prior Intimation: The employer must provide prior intimation to the Chief Inspector of Shops and Establishments regarding the employment of women in night shifts. This intimation should include details such as the number of women employees, their work timings, and the necessary safety measures in place. 2. Safety Measures: This includes providing adequate security measures, such as CCTV surveillance, security personnel, and safe transportation facilities to and from the workplace. 3. Transportation: The employer must arrange for safe and secure transportation facilities for women employees working in night shifts. Common pick up and drop off points will not work in this situation, it has to be a door step to door step facility. 4. Adequate Lighting: The workplace premises should have sufficient lighting to maintain a safe and well-lit environment for women employees during night shifts. 5. Restrooms and Hygiene Facilities: These facilities should be well-maintained, well-lit, and easily accessible. 6. Prohibition on Underground Work. Trust this helps.
