Can anyone help me with the Bonus policy for IT company? Is it necessary to give bonus or it can be skipped?

It is mandatory to give statutory bonus for employees if the salary is under 21k. There is a minimum bonus of 8.33 percent and a maximum bonus of 20% of salaries. Statutory Bonus is due within 8 months of the end of the fiscal year.
