Hello All, we are an organization of 40 employees in IT company. Can anyone suggest to me how to give designation from junior to senior level as we have only TL and ATL in the organization structure. Currently, every developer is working with the same designation i.e. Android Developer or Web developer even though they have differences in years of experience. So, How I can start giving designations from junior to senior level? Do I need to follow any procedure!!

Try to level your roles with experience levels โ€ข Android Developer 1 - entry level โ€ข Android Developer 2 - more than 3 years โ€ข Android Developer 3 - More than 6 years

Ideally, you should get going with the point factor method of job evaluation, before the company grows too large. You can have 3-4 levels (with varying pay grades) for developers. Developer - 0-1 years Senior Developer - 1-3 years Web Development Professional - >3 years Team Leader - >3 years

@Nidhi Mehta bringing your reply into the thread ๐Ÿงต of the conversation to keep the context intact
You can add Application Developer (Mobile Developer), Front End Developer (Interface developer) and Back End Developers as pre fix. You can then as per the experience level have career paths of - Associate-0-3, Senior Associate- 3-5 , TL /lead- 6-9 and Director- 10-15.
