Yes, there are various payroll tools with whom you can integrate hubstaff API as well

we use attendancebot which is integrated in slack for daily attendance and leaves

In the organization in which im working , we simply have a zoom meeting as its remote and we keep separate google sheets for different meetings to mark them as present, absent or on leave.
