04/11/2023, 3:11 PMHi Team, Im looking for some guidance on the voting holiday that we are required to provide. As 9th May is the polling day in Karnataka we are supposed to declare a holiday. I'm reaching out here for some guidance if anyone has any policy with your company on this one. Thank you in advance 🙏

ECI has directed the Karnataka Administration to declare a holiday, but no official directive has been circulated as yet
As per section 135B of RP Act, it should be declared a holiday
If there is no official circular, then we may not declare it a holiday, but ask everyone to WFH and accommodate accordingly

04/13/2023, 4:45 AMWe have not made it an official holiday but will be communicating to all that anyone who is eligible to vote in Karnataka can take time-off for it.
